About the artists

Gerhard van der Westhuize 

Born in Cape Town in 1970, Gerhard Van der Westhuizen is a naturally gifted and self-taught artist. Renowned for his contemporary feminine portraiture, Gerhard's face studies are characterized by striking eyes that captivate and establish a profound connection with the viewer. 

Mambakwedza Mutasa 

Born in 1974 and currently residing in Harare, Zimbabwe, Mambakwedza Mutasa is an artist whose sculptures skillfully integrate wood, stone, and metal. His works delve into the realms of universal human spirituality while also drawing inspiration from and commenting on the political landscape of the African continent.
